Key Responsibilities:
As an Operations Executive, your role will be pivotal in ensuring smooth shipping operations and coordination between departments. Your duties will include:
- Coordinating daily shipping and freight forwarding operations
- Monitoring vessel schedules, cargo movement, and documentation
- Liaising with port authorities, shipping agents, and logistics partners
- Ensuring compliance with maritime laws and safety standards
- Preparing and managing shipping documentation (BL, AWB, etc.)
- Supporting inventory, warehousing, and transportation logistics
- Identifying areas for operational efficiency and process improvement
- Coordinate daily port operations, ensuring the smooth and timely movement of vessels, cargo, and crew.
- Monitor compliance with port regulations, customs procedures, and safety standards.
- Manage vessel schedules, including berth allocation and coordinating with terminal operators for efficient loading/unloading.
- Liaise with various stakeholders, such as vessel owners, port authorities, customs, and logistics providers to ensure seamless operations.
- Oversee documentation processes, ensuring all necessary paperwork (e.g. cargo manifests, bills of lading) is accurately handled.
- Resolve operational issues and address any delays or emergencies that may arise during port calls.
- What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in shipping marine industry operations.
- Experience with supply chain management or shipping operations is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational tools.
- Ability to problem-solve and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations, industry standards, and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Maritime Studies, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in shipping/logistics operations (preferred)
- Strong understanding of freight forwarding, cargo handling, and port operations
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Proficient in MS Office and shipping/logistics software (e.g., CargoWise, SAP)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
