Key Responsibilities of an Accountant Job in Dubai
As an Accountant at Shaji Paints, you will play a vital role in managing the company’s financial transactions, ensuring accurate reporting, and helping the organization maintain financial integrity. Your responsibilities will include:
Bookkeeping and Financial Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Ensure all transactions are correctly recorded according to the company’s policies and UAE financial regulations.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights that help in decision-making processes.
Tax and VAT Compliance:
Ensure compliance with the UAE’s tax regulations, including VAT filings and submitting required documentation to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA).
Assist with tax audits and manage the company’s VAT obligations effectively.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Collaborate with department heads to prepare budgets and forecasts, ensuring financial resources are allocated efficiently to meet company goals.
Monitor the budget throughout the year and provide recommendations for cost savings or reallocations.
Cash Flow Management:

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) will be an advantage.
Proven experience as an Accountant, ideally within a manufacturing or retail environment. Experience in the paints or construction industry is a plus.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices in accordance with UAE laws and international standards.
Proficient in accounting software, with expertise in tools like Tally, QuickBooks, or Microsoft Excel.
